More than Sunday

Welcome to the More Than Sunday daily devotional! Our hope is that together, we fully commit to allowing God to use these next 30 days to grow our faith. We want you to begin this new habit by committing just 10 minutes at the start of each day to read your Bible, pray, and grow in your understanding of who God is and what that means for your life.
Every morning, we will text you a link to the audio of the devotional. You will also find that day’s Scripture passage, reflection questions, and a prayer prompt.
So grab your Bible and a notebook, settle in, and join us on this 30-day journey to grow in your more-than-Sunday faith.
Today we’re exploring the beautiful metaphor David gives us in Psalm 23: the Lord is our Shepherd. It means that God cares for us, leads us, and protects us.
It can be really frustrating when we feel like the people around us are changing. It can also be really discouraging when we find ourselves changing in ways we don’t want to.
God being all-knowing can be another attribute that feels distant and confusing. However, today we are exploring how his thoughts, knowledge, comprehension, and intentions are far above our own.
What does it really mean for us that God is all-powerful? Today we are going to talk about how this attribute should radically impact the way we pray, the way we worship, and the way we live our lives.
Today we’re looking at the story of a woman named Hagar to explore an often forgotten truth: God sees us. He sees us at our lowest and in our moments of strength.
Today we are talking about how God is our Provider. This doesn’t mean he is a wish granter, but we can know with confidence that God will give us exactly what we need in order to do what he has called us to do.
We can trust God because we know that he is faithful. Today we are reflecting on the reality that God will keep his promises to us. What promises exactly?
We all know how bad it feels when someone isn’t listening to us. Today we are talking about how God is always available to you.
We know in our heads that God is eternal. But what does that really mean? And what does that mean for us?
When was the last time you found yourself needing to be comforted? Today we are talking about how we follow the “God of all comfort.”
In this world with so much information, it can be easy to get confused about what is true. The reality is that God is the source of truth.
It’s easy to believe the lie that we’re not enough, and unfortunately that lie can quietly shape our actions, choices, and relationships. That’s why today’s truth matters so much.
Have you ever found yourself needing a guide? Sometimes our own understanding is not enough to make the best decision, and we need some help.
Today we are talking about how God is light. This means that God illuminates the darkness in the world and in our individual lives. In addition, we are called to reflect God’s light into the world around us.
In your opinion, what is God known for? His rules and guidelines? His attributes? His miracles? Today we are talking about how, all throughout Scripture, God is known for his love.
God is gracious. It began with God sending his Son to die for our salvation, and it continues with the daily grace he pours out over our lives.
Today we are diving into the idea that God is holy. Not only that, but because Jesus showed up on Earth and bridged the gap between our holy God and sinful people, we are called to walk in the same holiness.
It may sound overly simplistic, but the truth we are looking at today is this: because God is trustworthy, we can completely trust him. There’s a difference between knowing that God is trustworthy and actually placing our full trust in him.
The sad reality is that people are going to let us down because they are imperfect. But the truth is God is perfect, and because God is perfect, he is completely trustworthy.
Have you ever found yourself asking how a good God could be okay with all the bad stuff going on in the world? It may lead you to another question: is God even good at all?
When was the last time you recognized God’s goodness in your life? Today we are going to say yes to David’s invitation to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
What does it mean that humankind was made in the image of God? It means that human beings were created to reflect God’s nature in a way that no other part of creation does.
Have you ever felt like you lacked purpose? This morning we are reflecting on how God is the Creator and what he creates is good.
God is near. Whether you are someone who hates being alone or someone actively running from God, the truth remains: God is near to you.
Welcome to Day 1 of the IO More Than Sunday devotional! Let’s jump in to discovering one of the most foundational truths about who God is!
