Day 29

Today we’re exploring the truth that, as we follow God, he shapes us to be more like him. We often overcomplicate spiritual growth, but at its core, our role is simply to stay close to him. The more we walk with God, the more we grow. So let’s jump in and take a closer look at God as our Sanctifier.

Today’s Passage: 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.”

Reflect: Take a moment to look back over the past few years. Where do you see signs of growth? Are you walking closer with God than you were before? Have you become more patient, more kind, more like him? Now think ahead: what are the areas where you still want to grow? Where do you need God’s help to keep becoming more like him?

Pray: Ask God to help you walk closely with him, and invite him to keep shaping you to be more like him.
