Day 16
When was the last time you found yourself needing to be comforted? Today we are talking about how we follow the “God of all comfort.” God not only wants to be the one you run to when things are not going well, but he also wants to use you to comfort the people in your life. Today let’s allow this truth to bring us what we need and send us out to be used in the lives of those around us.
Today’s Passage: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
Reflect: Describe a time you experienced God’s comfort. What did that look like? Who in your life may need to experience God’s comfort through you?
Pray: Ask God to show you his comfort. Ask God to show you who needs his comfort. Spend some time praying for that person.
