Day 18

We all know how bad it feels when someone isn’t listening to us. Today we are talking about how God is always available to you. Praying to him benefits you because it will grow your relationship, grow your faith, and grow your dependence on him. We know that God is listening and available to us.

Today’s Passage: Matthew 7:7-11
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”

Reflect: Set a timer on your phone for five minutes and talk out loud to God. Praise him for who he is, confess what you need to confess, and ask God for what you need.

Pray: Simply speak out loud to God. Tell him about what’s going on in your life and ask him for what you need.
