Day 6
Listen to Today’s Reading:
How do you tell people about Jesus? How do you help them see what he’s really like? Talking about Jesus can be difficult. Sometimes, we don’t know where to start or what to say. It’s easy to fumble over your words when trying to tell someone about Jesus.
Today’s Passage: Matthew 5:14–16
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
When it comes to Jesus, an example is often more powerful than an explanation. People don’t necessarily need better explanations; they need better examples.
Reflect: Think about your everyday life. How do you treat people? What do your actions reflect? What have you chosen not to do? How bright does your example shine?
Pray: Ask God to help you live today as a bright example of someone who follows Jesus.
