Day 58

Listen to Today’s Reading:

What was I made for? This is a question we all ask at some point in our lives. And just like you, I want to know that there’s a purpose to my life.

Today’s Passage: Ephesians 2:10

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Reflect: When you accept Jesus into your life, you are not just receiving salvation—you are stepping into a new identity. You and I are the handiwork of God. This word, handiwork, implies that you were created carefully, intentionally, and with a purpose in mind. A purpose centered around living a life that reflects and glorifies God’s goodness. This verse serves as a reminder to us that God has prepared specific good works for you. He has a plan for your life, filled with opportunities to make a difference and impact others. If Christ has done something within you, it should be visible to those around you.

Think about the areas of your life where you already have influence and the people who are associated with those areas. The teams, classrooms, clubs, associations, and friend groups that you’re a part of. How can you impact them in a way that points them to Christ? Now think about your interests and passions. How could you use them to serve, lead, and invest in your community?

Pray: Talk to God today and ask him to bring you clarity. Ask him to show you where you can get involved and make a difference for him in the community around you.
