Day 45
Listen to Today’s Reading:
Have you ever said something and wished you could take it back? I think we can all remember times when we’ve said something hurtful. And here’s the thing about our words: We can always apologize, but those words stick with the other person for a very long time.
Today’s Passage: Ephesians 4:29
"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers."
Reflect: Think about the last few conversations you’ve had with people. Were any of your words hurtful? Were any of your words intentionally helpful, supportive, and good? Your words hold incredible power. How can you use them this week to build someone up?
Pray: Ask God to help you control your mouth. Work to become the kind of person who uses their words for good.
