Day 43
Listen to Today’s Reading:
Are you constantly battling the same temptation? Temptation is a strong desire to do something—especially something that is wrong or harmful to you. We are all tempted to do wrong things. You might feel like you are alone in this, and maybe you feel ashamed—but I assure you that all of us deal with temptations in our lives.
Today’s Passage: 1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has overtaken you except as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
Reflect: Take a few minutes and think about what is tempting you. Think about the temptations: your phone, time with your boyfriend or girlfriend, time with your group of friends, or how you spend your time. This verse tells us that we are all tempted. It also promises that God will help us overcome the temptation.
Pray: Today, name what is tempting you. Write it down, pray, and ask God to help you. He promises to make a way for you to escape it.
