Day 66

Listen to Today’s Reading:

You made it! Welcome to day 66 of Follow! I hope this new habit of spending time with Jesus every day has helped you grow in your faith. Keep going! And be on the lookout for future episodes of the Follow devotional.

What makes InsideOut such a special place? I’m biased for sure, but I think what happens at InsideOut is life-changing. Every Sunday afternoon, hundreds of high school students gather together to encourage each other, to share, to worship together, and to help each other grow. The friendships you’ve made, the community you’ve found, and the growth you’ve experienced together are just the beginning of what makes InsideOut so special. In fact, I think one of the best parts about InsideOut is that these relationships and the faith we share go beyond the church’s four walls and our weekly gatherings. Your small groups do life together, celebrate one another, grow up together, and hold each other accountable. All of those things are what our InsideOut staff wants for you. And in fact, the writer of Hebrews wanted the same things for the church too.

Today’s Passage: Hebrews 10:24–25

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.”

Reflect: These verses tell us to motivate each other, to love one another, to continuously meet and gather with one another, and to be encouraged in the process. Life is meant to be lived together. We were created for community!

So, when are you circling up with your friends and talking about what’s going on in your life? When are you listening and challenging and encouraging those in your circle to grow and get better? If you haven’t made it a priority to consistently spend time with your people, commit today to doing that.

Pray: Ask God to help you build stronger friendships at InsideOut. Ask him to use this community to help you grow and do good things to help others.
