Day 61
Listen to Today’s Reading:
Are you going through a hard time? There have been times in my life when I’ve struggled, and all I can see are my weaknesses. During times like this, we can all feel so inadequate and maybe even worthless. But the Bible tells us that when we are at our weakest, Jesus’s power and strength works for us. At our weakest, we get to experience what it feels like to be dependent on our Savior and the grace he offers.
Today’s Passage: 2 Corinthians 12:9
"But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."
Reflect: When you’re going through something difficult, how could you stop and reframe it as an opportunity for Jesus to show up and work through you? Instead of trying to solve things and carrying every burden on your own, you could model for those around you what it looks like to allow Jesus to work through you. You could rest in the fact that he offers you grace in your weakness.
Pray: Talk to God today about where you are weak and struggling. Ask him to fill you with his power and strength and to teach you to rest in the grace he offers you.
