Listen to Today’s Reading:

What do you love? A good question to ask yourself is what or who has the majority of your attention? Where do you spend your time and what has your focus? Where we spend our time and put our attention shows what we care about. And if we’re not careful, we can end up spending most of our time devoted to something that takes us away from, instead of toward, what God has for us.

Today’s Passage: 1 John 2:15

"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them."

Reflect: Take a few minutes and write down how you spend the majority of your time. What has your interest and your heart? Are you devoting your time and care to the things God has for you? Or are you falling in love with the things of the world?

Pray: Talk to God and ask him to show you where you are off track. Look for ways you can turn your focus from the things of this world to the things of God.
