Day 4
Listen to Today’s Reading:
Why am I not seeing good things come from my life? That’s a heavy question. It can be frustrating and discouraging to not see positive outcomes produced from your life. It’s a discouraging place to be. But how do we change things? Grab your Bible and give us 10 minutes.
Today’s Passage: Galatians 6:7–10
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
The truth is, you will always reap what you sow. What you plant now, you produce later. A lot of us plan, but not as many of us plant. We plan to make better grades, to be kinder, to spend more time with God. Yet we don’t plant, so we don’t sow those things into our life.
Reflect: What would it look like to sow goodness in your life? Think about things like serving others, telling the truth, being a good friend, or even what you’re doing this morning—spending time with God.
Pray: Talk to God about it. Ask him to show you what you’re sowing and look for ways to do good with your life.
