Day 12
Listen to Today’s Reading:
Are you anxious? Are you struggling to find peace? We all know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, feel anxious, and lose sleep as our mind goes through all the stressful possibilities. I don’t know if you’re feeling this way today, or maybe someone you know is feeling this way.
Today’s Passage: Philippians 4:6–7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
This means that Jesus is your deliverer. He fights with you and for you. He will help you overcome and win the battle. When the Spirit lives in you, there is freedom.
Reflect: If you are in a stressful season and are looking for peace, write it out. Write down what’s making you feel this way and take some time to get it out of your heart and onto a piece of paper.
Pray: Talk to God about it. Tell him what’s on your mind and share your worries. Ask him for peace. Ask him to guard your heart and walk with you through all that is stressful and seems overwhelming.
