Day 15

In John 15:5 Jesus explained that he is the vine, and we are the branches. He said, “If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” When God works through us to help someone else or to help us grow, it can be easy to begin to believe we made the growth happen. We can even start to forget we need Jesus’s help. The truth is, we are like branches, and branches cannot produce anything if they aren’t connected to a vine. Anything we do that produces something good is because of our connection to Jesus. So let’s remain connected to him and watch the amazing things he produces through us.

Prayer
Father, remind me today to rely on Jesus and not myself. Through him, I can do amazing things, and I want him to do through me what I cannot do alone.
