Day 7

Listen:

How do you live the good life?  I’m not talking about the good life, like making a lot of money, driving your dream car, and taking fancy vacations. Although those things are great, I’m talking about how you live out your life every day as a follower of Jesus. What does that look like in practical everyday actions? This passage spells it out so clearly.

Today’s Passage: 2 Corinthians 13:11

“Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.”

Look It Up: Find 2 Corinthians 13:11 in your Bible and highlight all of the action statements.

Reflect: To rejoice means to feel or show great joy. Restoration means to return a relationship back to its former condition after it has been broken. To encourage means to give hope, confidence, and support. Continue to read through this verse and define what each action means.

What does your day to day life look like?  Do you see the actions listed in this verse woven throughout your relationships with others?

Write It Down: Grab your journal and answer these questions.

  • How are you doing at living the good life that this verse describes?

  • What brings you joy right now?

  • What can you do today to mend a broken relationship?

  • Who can you encourage? Send them a text today.

Pray:  Ask God to give you opportunities to live out your life in very specific ways. Close your eyes and think about the people in your world. Pray about the action you can take today.
