safety

conversation

guide

Dear Parent,

Thank you for taking the time to talk with your student about the following safety guidelines:

1. Students are not allowed to go anywhere alone. If they need to return to their room or want to walk on the beach, they must first check in with their small group leaders, and someone will go with them.

2. Students are not allowed to travel outside the boundaries of our camp. Their leaders will have a map with clearly marked boundaries so that students know the parameters.

3. Students are not allowed on hotel balconies for any reason.

4. Students are not allowed out of their rooms or hotels after the 11:00 p.m. curfew.

5. Students are not allowed to have any illegal substances or any items that could be perceived or used as weapons. Behaviors such as throwing items from balconies, engaging in pranks that result in extreme vandalism, or using substances while underage are illegal in the state of Florida. These actions are taken very seriously and will not be tolerated.

If we run into any behaviors that are beyond what we can manage at camp, parents will be called right away to discuss appropriate next steps.

Thank you for your support!
