Listen to Today’s Reading:
Did you know that the things that you think about will eventually lead you to action? Your thoughts shape you. What you think eventually becomes your reality.
We have all struggled with our thoughts before. We’ve played messages in our mind that say, “I’m not good enough, smart enough, or strong enough.” Or maybe, “I can’t do something. It’s too hard for me.”
But God tells us that we have the ability to control our thoughts and intentionally think about the things that are true about us, and are good for us.
Grab your Bible and spend 10 minutes reading this verse and thinking about how you can actively change what you think.
Today’s Passage: Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Reflect: How can you replace your negative thoughts with things that are true, noble, right, pure, and admirable? Write the thoughts you want to replace and then write a new thought that’s true about you and better for you.
Pray: Ask God to help you keep your mind focused on him.
