Day 5

In John 5, Jesus healed a man who had been paralyzed for 38 years. The man had been trying to find healing on his own, but it was only through the power of Jesus that he was ultimately healed. So often we try to face the burdens of life on our own, leaving us feeling weighed down and paralyzed. Thankfully, because of Jesus we don’t have to face anything on our own. Jesus cares about us, and he wants to help us.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me see the things I’ve been trying to carry or accomplish on my own, and give me courage to surrender them to you.
