Day 2

In John 2, Jesus cleared the temple court. He wasn’t just angry about people selling things; he cared that people were turning a place meant for worship into something selfish and distracting. Jesus wanted people to truly encounter God, not get caught up in noise and empty religion. Sometimes our lives can get cluttered with things that pull our attention away from him. Jesus doesn’t call us out to shame us; he clears things out because he wants our hearts fully connected to him.

Jesus, show me anything that is distracting me from you. Help me make room for you to be first in my heart.
